Seabroom Park Beach Clean Up
Saturday, June 14, 2025
10 am to Noon

In belated recognition of World Oceans Day, please join Friends of Sooke Parks for a beach clean up at Seabroom Park. Beach access is off of Kaltasin Road, at the end of Seabroom Road.

We will be focused on picking up micro plastics - mainly small pieces of styrofoam that can be harmful to fish and birds. Bits of styrofoam can be mistaken for food, leading to starvation or blockages in the digestive tract. The foam can also leach chemicals into the water, posing a further risk to wildlife.

Come for 15 mins or the full two hours. Every bit helps!
Bring a water bottle. Snacks will be provided.
